AISSEE 2025: Sainik School Sujanpur Tira is run by Sainik School Society and it is affiliated to Central Board of Senior Secondary (CBSE).

 

 

Sainik School Sujanpur Tira was established on November 2, 1978 for training students from Himachal Pradesh to join the defence forces. It was 18th in the series of 33 Sainik schools in the country. Admission to Sainik School Sujanpur Tira is held in Class 6 and 9 through the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and the education is imparted in English.  

The mission of the school is to produce students with strong character and train them to join the Indian defence forces as officers. It prepares boys and girls academically, physically and mentally for joining the National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla, Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala and other officer training institutes. It aims at instilling a sound character, team spirit, a patriotic outlook and a desire to serve the country.

The school is located in the town of Sujanpur Tira on the banks of the Beas. Sainik School Sujanpur Tira is 24 kilometres from the district headquarter Hamirpur. It has good road connectivity with all the major cities and towns in the state. Students and visitors can board trains at the nearest broad-gauge rail head at Amb in Una, which is 99 kilometres from Sujanpur Tira. The nearest airport is 75 kilometres away at Gaggal in Kangra district.

Sainik School Admission Process

Students seeking admission into Sainik School Sujanpufr Tira will have to appear in the All India Sainik School Examination for Class 6 and 9, respectively. The advertisement for the AISSEE will be issued in the leading newspapers in August or September. The advertisement will also be issued on the Sainik School Society’s official website, https://sainikschoolsociety.in. 

The AISSEE 2025 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA will accept the AISSEE 2025 application forms in November and December, 2024. The examination will be conducted in the first or second week of January. The result will be declared within six weeks of examination.

Sainik School admission exam pattern

Sainik School Sujanpur Tira admits students in Class 6 and 9. Students appearing for the AISSEE Class 6 will have 125 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in 2 hours 30 minutes i.e. 150 minutes. They can attempt the AISSEE question paper in English, Hindu, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kanada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Odia, Punjabi or Urdu.

The AISSEE Class 9 test will be held only in English medium. The AISSEE Class 9 question paper will have 150 MCQs, which students will have to attempt in 3 hours.

There will not be negative marking, the NTA said. Students from General, OBC-NCL and Defence categories will have to get 25% marks in each section and 40% aggregate marks to qualify the AISSEE 2024. However, no minimum marks have been set for students belonging from SC and ST categories.

Sainik School Sujanpur Tira reservation criteria 

Sainik School Sujanpur Tira will conduct the admission to Class 6 and 9 in two categories – Home state and other state/UT. Students of Himachal Praesh appearing in the AISSEE can apply for 67% seats of Sainik School Sujanpur Tira. The balance 33% seats will be able for students from other states and UTs. Seats available in the HP list and other states and UT category will be reserved in the following criteria:

Defence Reservation Criteria

As per the criteria 25% seats, out of the balance 50.50% seats in the HP list and other states and UT quota, will be reserved for the wards of defence personnels. Students of serving personnel and ex-servicemen of Indian Army, Indian Airforce and Indian Navy will be able to apply for these seats. 

As per the rules of the Sainik School, 10% seats will be available for girl students.
